The Keep

The Keep

Just before producing the legendary “Miami Vice”, Michael Mann shot in Northern Wales his second movie feature (following Thief), a modest UK production set in the Romania of 1942. A group of Nazi soldiers arrives at a mysterious fortress feared by many of the locals, who are convinced that the place is haunted. They soon learn the truth of these claims as the demoniacal force living inside the keep, an evil creature (designed by Enki Bilal), wreaks havoc and kills to the music of Tangerine Dream. “They were all drawn to the keep. The soldiers who brought death. The father and daughter fighting for life. The people who have always feared it”.
